History[]
The restaurant at South Cave West first opened as a Happy Eater in the 1980s and was built alongside a filling station on the westbound side of the A63 between Hull and the M62. The restaurant traded in tandem with another Happy Eater at South Cave East, located a short distance to the east on the eastbound side of the A63.
In 1986, Forte had acquired the Happy Eater brand and, by 1997, had converted a large majority of Happy Eater restaurants into Little Chefs. The Happy Eater at South Cave West became a Little Chef in 1994.
The Little Chef closed in 2009 alongside a small handful of other branches nationwide. After standing empty for a few years, the building was converted into a branch of Pulse and Cocktails in 2013.
