The Little Chef at Holbeach first opened in circa. 1974, as a standalone site on the A17 between Sleaford and King's Lynn, just east of the town of Holbeach. The restaurant replaced what looked like some sort of house, most likely as a result of Forte's rapid expansion of the Little Chef chain in the 1970s.
The Little Chef closed in 1983 for reasons unknown. Today, the former restaurant building plays host to the Lodge Farm Cafe, a popular truck stop. Although the site hasn't played host to a Little Chef for decades, the legacy of the restaurant still lives on as a Little Chef branded 'Waitress Service Only' sign still exists above the counter of the Lodge Farm Cafe, giving diners a hint to its past.
