Gaerwen was a former Little Chef, located on the A5 on the Isle of Anglesey.
A rather famous former Little Chef, the site was immortalised in the song "Caffi Gaerwen" by Toni ac Aloma. Mentioned in the lyrics are Pat, Janet, Elsi and Glen; who were staff members at the time of release in 1969.

ONSITE FACILITIES: None
History[]
The site was opened between 1968-69 using the prefabricated Little Chef building of the era. The site was stand alone - having no other facilities to call its own - and was located in the village of Gaerwen. It was not the first Little Chef to open on Anglesey - the restaurant at Menai Bridge had opened shortly beforehand.
The site was closed sometime around 2001-2002, and was demolished soon after. The closure was likely due to the opening of the A55 dual carriageway a short distance north of the village, as traffic was now bypassing the village and the site.
The land on which the Little Chef was built on is unused to this day - retaining vague remenants of it's former use, including the white lines printed between the parking spaces on the car park. The outline of where the restaurant once stood can still be seen, albeit now overgrown.
There is currently plans to build housing on the former site.
