It opened alongside a petrol station (now trading as Shell) during the late 1970s-early 1980s, and was built in the flat-roof style building - the official house design of the era sporting a rectangular building and flat roof, prefabricated like how Little Chefs were in the 1960s & 1970s.
After about twenty years of trading, the Little Chef closed for good in 1998 during the Granada era (possibly due to the site being less busy than the nearby site in Halkyn), while the Shell petrol station continues to trade on to this day.
Soon after the restaurant closed in 1998 it became a furniture shop, which closed in 2009, and later that year it was taken over by a photographic design shop which had also shut up shop in 2016 - this time leaving the building derelict.
