History[]

Opened in 1989/90, Attleborough South Little Chef opened alongside a filling station on the main London to Norwich route. It was housed inside of the typical Little Chef building design of the era, with the pitched roof, double front and large windows facing out onto the road.

In 1996/97, the Little Chef was joined by its northbound partner, when the Attleborough North Happy Eater, located directly opposite became a Little Chef.

In 2008, the Little Chef at Attleborough ceased trading. This was probably due to its close proximity to a Little Chef located 14 miles north at Thickthorn, which wasn't just accessible to two major routes but it was more likely that travellers would reach this site first.

In 2012, the Little Chef became an American diner known as Mr D's diner. However, this closed in 2017 and today, it now trades as a Starbucks Drive Thru.
