History[]
The Betws-y-Coed branch opened in late 1982 for the A5 travellers. It sadly shut down in 2005 and was demolished soon after, along with the petrol station. The site is now part of the car park of the adjacent Waterloo Hotel. The adjoining petrol station operated under the Esso branding, and for a few years after it was demolished the cash sign remained on the side of the road (with the Esso logo partially covered up with red tape and the service listings removed) and was removed by 2011.
