The Barnsdale Bar South branch was a Little Chef restaurant located on the A1 near Wentbridge, South Yorkshire.

The site was built in the 1960s by the Forte group and it started life as a restaurant called Autogrill which was a large restaurant owned by Forte and was built inside a large, iconic building. At the time, the Autogrill was very popular with numerous amounts of customers coming to the restaurant for a meal or even just a quick bite to eat. There was a footbridge linking the two services so that even the northbound travellers could dine at the Autogrill as there was no restaurant on the northbound side at the time. Forte even produced postcards of the southbound services so that families can send them off as well as the restaurant being recognised by many people.

In the 1980s, the Autogrill was replaced by a Little Chef restaurant and a northbound restaurant was built. The footbridge that linked the services was demolished as it was no longer needed. Two Little Chefs were benefits because it meant that more profit could be made.

The Little Chef here was formerly paired up with a Burger King. This closed a while ago and was replaced by the grab and go chain, Coffee Tempo! which was then replaced by Little Chef Express in 2012. This was the time when 11 other Coffee Tempo! outlets were also replaced by Little Chef Expresses. Sadly, the Little Chef Express wasn't there for long.

In 2012, Barnsdale Bar South closed along with its northbound partner. The southbound Little Chef has since been replaced by DD's services.
