The Barnsdale Bar branch were two former dual sided Little Chef restaurants located on the A1 near Wentbridge, South Yorkshire.

The site was built in the 1960s by the Forte group and the southbound side started life as a restaurant called Autogrill which was a large restaurant owned by Forte built inside a large, iconic building. At the time, the Autogrill was very popular with numerous amounts of customers coming to the restaurant for a meal or even just a quick bite to eat. There was a footbridge linking the two services so that even the northbound travellers could dine at the Autogrill as there was no restaurant on the northbound side at the time. Forte even produced postcards of the southbound services so that families can send them off as well as the restaurant being recognised by many people.

In the 1980s, the Autogrill was replaced by a Little Chef restaurant and a northbound restaurant building was built so that a second Little Chef could be housed. The footbridge was also demolished at the time which means that northbound travellers can no longer access the southbound Little Chef which is probably the reason why a northbound Little Chef was built. In the southbound building, the Little Chef was formerly paired with a Burger King (now closed) whereas the northbound building just had a Little Chef on its own.

All in all, the Little Chefs were very successful with the restaurant car parks full to the maximum. In the southbound building, the Little Chef was formerly paired up with a Burger King. This closed a while ago and was replaced by the grab and go chain, Coffee Tempo! which was finally replaced by Little Chef Express in 2012. This was the time when 11 other Coffee Tempo! outlets were also replaced by Little Chef Expresses. Sadly, the Little Chef Express wasn't there for long.

In 2012, both of the popular Little Chefs ended their journeys at Barnsdale Bar. This was a surprise as the Little Chefs at Barnsdale Bar were very popular and had no intention to close. The southbound Little Chef was replaced by DD's services and the northbound one was replaced by a typical roadside diner. The Barnsdale Bar Services will always be well known for being the sites of two former Little Chefs, especially the southbound one.
