The Amesbury branch is a Little Chef restaurant located at the junction of the A303 and A345 near the small town of Amesbury, Wiltshire.

Opened in 1989/90, Amesbury was housed inside of a rather unique building. Where most Little Chefs opening around this time were housed in buildings with pitched roofs and double fronts, the Little Chef at Amesbury was housed inside of a large building with a sloping roof, smaller windows, a large base of about 6 or 7 sides and a porchway leading into the restaurant. Amesbury was probably one of the largest Little Chef restaurants to open in this era.

The Little Chef at Amesbury was positioned alongside a filling station and Travelodge hotel which presented a great opportunity for Little Chef to attract additional custom from the facilities. In the Granada era, a Burger King was added to the offering which was also helped to attract extra custom to the Little Chef. Where a lot of Burger Kings at Little Chef sites closed, the Burger King at Amesbury lived on and is still operating today along with the Little Chef.

In 2002, Amesbury recieved the "New Choices" Makeover, giving it some smart new furniture and access to exciting menus from Harry Ramsdens, Upper Crust, Wiseguys Pizza and Caffe Ritazza.

In 2011, Amesbury was one of ten lucky sites to recieve the 'Wonderfully British' makeover. This included a new interior design and saw the branch rebranded in a new bright red colour scheme. Coffee Tempo! was replaced by a Good to Go takeaway counter as part of the rennovations.

Overall, a really successful site with great facilities.
