The Alwalton branch is a current Little Chef restaurant located on the southbound side of the A1 near Peterborough, Cambridgeshire.

The site has been given a multitude of names over the years. When it first opened in the 1960s, it was given the name of Peterborough but this changed to Alwalton as the site is located nearer to Alwalton than Peterborough. The adjacent Travelodge has the name of the Alwalton Peterborough hotel.

In terms of facilities, there was a good combination of a Little Chef and Travelodge hotel with a Burger King joining in 2012. The Burger King has since operated in what used to be extended seating of the Little Chef. There is no filling station on site but there is one at Peterborough Services half a mile south of the services.

This Little Chef has an interesting fact about it. It is the oldest surviving Little Chef restaurant in the UK so far as it is the only restaurant that opened in the 1960s and is still operating today. The Little Chef hasn't received any form of refurbishment, adding realism to when it first opened.
